10 Best Holiday Organizing Products

Preparing for the end of the holidays can almost be as daunting as preparing for the start of the holidays. The only difference is that putting away all the decorations just isn’t very exciting or fun, is it?

Decorations must be taken down, trees put away or disposed of, AND any new decorations will need homes to be stored in for the next 12 months! To reset your home for the New Year, make sure you take some time to find new, functional storage solutions. Also, take a moment to decide if there is anything you can declutter (new items might mean there are older decor pieces you can part with!)

To help you wrap up the holiday season, we have a list of 10 holiday organizing products that are guaranteed to get any seasonal decorations put away, stored safely, and organized in a snap!

1. Ornament Organizers

Probably the most logical Christmas storage item is an ornament organizer. There are different versions to consider, but the most important factor is that your ornaments are safely stored as they are so often very fragile. Choose an organizer that has dividers or additional padding to make sure your ornaments are nested safely.

2. Weathertight Bins

Weathertight bings are perfect for any type of holiday decoration. These bins keep out the elements like water, dust, dirt, bugs, etc (especially important for storage units, basements, attics or garages where holiday decor is often stored). They come in many different shapes and sizes, so they are good to store almost any kind of seasonal decorations or off-season items! Don’t forget to label them with the contents to find things more easily down the line.

3. Tree Cover/Holder

Unless you choose to have a live Christmas tree, you will have a big and bulky tree to store somewhere. Having an upright cover that can help your tree stand vertically is helpful if you don’t have ample shelf space. If you are lucky and have lots of storage space, we recommend a storage bag with wheels to make it easy to store/move your tree.

4. Wreath Holder

Wreaths can be a difficult item to store so we recommend using wreath-specific storage containers. Structured plastic zippered bags are very helpful or if you have a particularly delicate wreath, you can use plastic bins to store (and stack) them!

5. Lights Storage

Speaking of difficult items to store… endless strings of lights can be especially challenging as they easily get tangled around themselves and other items. When storing lights, we recommend getting solutions to wrap the lights around as well as a bin or tote to place them in. This keeps each strand of lights separated, safely stored, and easy to pull out for next season!

6. Gift Wrap Organizer

Since gift wrapping isn’t exclusive to the end of year holiday season, it can make a huge difference in your peace of mind year-round! Finding a solution to organize your wrapping paper, ribbons, bows, tape, and scissors can make gifting easier in general. These organizers have pockets and sections for everything you might need to make that picture-perfect gift!

7. Plastic Covers

We’ve all had items that need to be stored but just never seem to fit perfectly into a bin, onto a shelf, or really anywhere. That doesn’t mean there isn’t a solution, though! Purchasing plastic zippered covers can help you store oddly-shaped items that otherwise might not get the appropriate protection! You can also use these covers to protect luggage or other large items that need to be covered.

8. Dish Protectors

If you’re anything like us, you like to have holiday-themed serving platters, mugs, and other festive kitchen ware for hosting friends and family, events, and parties. When the season is over, you’ll want to make sure these are protected, stored, and organized properly! We recommend using these quilted storage containers to keep your hosting essentials ready for the next event!

9. Packing Paper/Bubble Wrap

When packing away holiday related decor, you want to be sure everything is stored carefully and safely so that they can be pulled out and ready to use the next holiday season! Use bubble wrap and packing paper to ensure your items are safe when you put them into bins or containers.

10. Labels

As with any successful organizing system, there is one final step to make everything organized and easy to find - LABELS! All of your bins, baskets, containers, and covers should be labeled accordingly so that when it’s time to take out those holiday decorations, you (or other family members) know exactly what is what! This is especially helpful for non-clear or transparent containers. Now you’ll know what’s in each bin without having to open things up, which can waste so much precious time.

Putting your holiday decorations away with intention will make it that much easier to decorate again 12 months later. Using these holiday decoration organizing products can help you maintain these systems for years to come! Head over to our Amazon Storefront to find all of these items and MORE!
